Report from South Florida Urban Search and Rescue Team: Mexico Beach
Topic Description:
An engineering review of Hurricane Michael's catastrophic devastation to Mexico Beach, Florida.
Presented by:
Captain Jorge Du Quesne, P.E. and Mark Johnson, P.E.
Capt. Jorge Du Quesne, P.E., is a professional engineer registered in the State of Florida and a retired City of Miami Fire Captain. Mr. Du Quesne has worked in the structural design, construction, and civil engineering fields, both nationally and internationally, for the past forty-five (45) years. He is currently President of DuQuesne & Associates, Inc., an engineering and roofing consulting firm and is the Lead Structures Specialist for FEMA's South Florida's Urban Search & Rescue Team, Florida Task Force 2.
Mark Johnson has more than 28 years of structural engineering experience in the design of all aspects of new and renovated structures including commercial, educational, multi-family housing, industrial, and mixed use facilities and has extensive experience in the design of both steel and concrete structures. He has managed the design of over 1,500 notable projects throughout the Southeast, with nineteen of these recognized by the Tilt-Up Concrete Association as award winning designs. Mr. Johnson has been a Florida Task Force 2 Structure's Specialist since 2011.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
Florida Professional Engineer attendees will receive a certificate of attendance for one PDH credit.
